why i gaf

i honestly see a lot of myself in boxten and so does my therapist. he's potrayed as a very shy and introverted toon which i can relate to, as well as him seeing the worst of every situation. i relate to more stuff about him, but thats all i feel the need to mention right now. besides relating to him, i think hes just a cutie patootie. usually im drawn towards more confident and egotistical characters compared to boxten, but i enjoy how hes kind of a dork . this stuff isnt canon so it doesnt count, but i have a few headcanons that make me relate to him more . hes a very anxious person and so am i, atleast according to the 3 suspected anxiety disorders i might get diagnosed with (only time will tell) .

general boxten is a shy and introverted toon. according to poppy in one of their dialogues together, he "worries waaaay too much" which is also shown by his dialogue when going to another floor. shown in his dialogue with connie where boxten asks her to stop scaring him and connie refuses, saying he's "too easy of a scare", he seems to be startled easily. he seems to have nightmares, according to a dialogue between him and astro where astro asks how his dreams have been and boxten says "you mean the nightmares?". he seems to have a friendship with glisten, as well as a friendship with sprout and cosmo, shown by their dialogues together. with glisten, it seems they might watch tv shows together, and with cosmo and sprout he bakes with them. he's a fan of vee's gameshows, shown by him responding with "who isnt?" when asked by vee if he's a fan of her gameshow. trivia/other the key on the back of his head turns when he's thinking/focused. according to the wiki, his name could be based off a mix of boston and the word box, or a reference to the term "boxed in". theres a chance boxten isnt very good with grammar, hinted at by a note in boxtens room where he changed the phrase "a water" to "some water" by crossing out "a" and writing "some" by it. confirmed by dandy's gossip, boxten can play music. boxten, as of 11/4/25, is not known to feature in any episodes of the show.
